The Guatimosim lab is an interdisciplinary group interested in the molecular and cellular mechanisms that lead to cardiac dysfunction, aiming to provide novel therapeutic insights. We use modern techniques and a variety of genetically modified animal models in order to investigate signaling pathways that mediate calcium dynamics and cardiomyocyte contractility.
