Germany’s Consul visits our laboratory!

In November 10 2020, our laboratory was visited by Germany’s General Consul Mr. Dirk Augustin and Germany’s Honorary Consul Mr. Victor Sterzik (photo). They symbolically delivered us a Vibratome, an equipment used to cut very thin brain slices, donated by the Alexander von Humbolt Foundation, as a result of the head of our laboratory Dr. Fabíola Ribeiro selection to the CAPES/Humbold Research Fellowship Program.

Between May 2019 and May 2020, Dr. Fabíola went to a sabbatical period in the Max Planck Institute in Munich, which was funded by this program, and that included, after her return, the possibility to acquire an equipment to our lab. The vibratome will be quite useful to our research, as it is going to allow us to study the brain microscopic structure.
